About 5 out of 10 suffer from jaundice they first see the doctor.Jaundice refers to the skin yellowing.The urine will turn darker and bowel motions might become lighter too.Jaundice is much more common with cancer of the head of the pancreas because the tumour blocks the bile duct from functioning properly.This tube carries the bile juice into the duodenum.If the bile duct is blocked, the bile will end up in the bloodstream.Bile has alot of yellow pigments and thus make the skin yellow in the process. Jaundice is a common signs of liver and gall bladder diseases. It is often easier to spot in the whites of the eyes rather than the skin.
