Her smile was bright as she asked the clerk at the make-up counter for directions through the department store. As the clerk was showing her how to find the lingerie department, she commented on the gorgeous antique engagement ring on her hand. She smiled at the clerk and went off to shop.
It was a short ride up to the third floor on the escalator. She saw the sexy lingerie on the mannequins as she stepped off the escalator. Hmm, soft green was her favorite color, but she had to find something spectacular in white for her wedding night.
She was really looking forward to her honeymoon trip and stopped to try on some bikinis. She bought three of them. I deserve these she thought to herself as she paid for them.
She took all the garments into the dressing room. Plopping down her armful of garments, she tried them on and checked the fit in the mirror. Well, all those hours at the gym paid off she thought to herself. She stepped over to the piles of sexy white garments and thought of John her fiance. She went back to the dressing room and tried on several white nightgowns and checked her reflection in the mirror.
She walked away with bags filled with lovely garments. She sees some purses and stops to look. Although she already has a white evening purse for her wedding day, she purchases a hobo bag that is appropriate for the beach. She paid for the bag.
Next, a new pair of white jeans, a pair of slim black denim jeans and some leggings were added to her purchases. She also bought several pairs of shorts for the honeymoon trip. Hmm, she wondered what blouses would match these shorts. She needed a top to match the pink ones and a plain white one for wearing with the plaid shorts. It was time to head over to the ladies department. She took an armful of shirts for girls into the changing room.
She felt very thirsty after all that shopping. She went to the restaurant and sat down and enjoyed the air conditioning. The menu was tempting her.
One salad and iced tea was all she ordered when the waitress came over. She made a mental note to eat cheeseburgers and fries after the honeymoon. Her diet was strict for now though.
After the last fitting on her wedding gown she vowed to stay on the diet if it killed her. The beautiful gown and veil would have to be a perfect fit. She smiled to herself as she thought of the long train on her wedding gown. Sipping her tea she speculated on how much John would love her wedding dress. The young waitress came over to see if she wanted any dessert. She said no thanks and smiled at the girl.
She listened to romantic songs all the way home as she transported all her shopping goodies. She had to rush to get home and finish up some pre wedding jobs. Her antique engagement ring shone in the sun as she walked up to the front door. Her mother would be as thrilled as she was to see that she found such wonderful garments.
